Hue – A Journey Through Time and Nature
Hue oud oil is a refined expression of Vietnamese oud, distilled from rare Antwood — a natural formation that occurs when certain ant species inhabit the trunks of mature Aquilaria trees for many years. This slow and organic process triggers deep resin formation within the wood, giving rise to some of the most complex and soulful oud profiles.
Sourced from the Hue region in central Vietnam, the raw material is short time soaked, preserving the purity and cleanliness of its scent. It is slowly and continuously distilled in copper pot for 10 days, using pure spring water drawn from pristine headwaters. This meticulous process ensures maximum quality and retains the delicate nuances of the raw material.
Hue oud oil opens with a vibrant, uplifting aroma—fresh tropical fruits accented by floral brightness and sweet honeyed tones. It offers a refreshing, breezy sensation, like a cool summer wind brushing against your skin.
As the scent unfolds, subtle spicy hints of cinnamon emerge, blending seamlessly with the fruity-floral heart. This transitions into deeper layers: damp forest wood, dried fruits, wild herbs, and dry grass. You may also detect subtle animalic nuances—never overpowering, but grounding and natural—adding complexity and soul.
The result is a rich, evolving olfactory journey, one that evokes the raw beauty of untouched forests and the quiet wisdom carried through time.
