WILD NHA TRANG SINKING OUD CHIPS
A Rare Expression of Wild Nha Trang Oud
Wild Nha Trang Sinking Oud represents a more selective and increasingly rare grade of Vietnamese oud.
These pieces are chosen for their exceptionally high resin density, natural formation, and overall quality. Their density is high enough for the wood to sink in water, a characteristic associated with heavily resinous agarwood that has developed over many years in the wild.
Compared with our regular Wild Nha Trang Oud Chips, the Sinking Grade contains significantly denser resin formation and is available in much smaller quantities.
Each piece carries its own natural shape, grain, resin pattern, and character, making this material particularly appealing not only for aromatic enjoyment but also for collectors of fine agarwood.
Aroma
When gently heated, Wild Nha Trang Sinking Oud reveals the familiar character of Nha Trang agarwood with greater density and richness.
A smooth creamy sweetness appears first, followed by warm resinous wood and deeper forest-like nuances. As the temperature gradually increases, the aroma becomes fuller and more concentrated, while retaining the refined softness that makes Nha Trang oud so distinctive.
The scent develops slowly and beautifully under controlled heat, moving between sweet, creamy, resinous, and woody facets.
Despite its richness, the aroma remains smooth and elegant rather than heavy.

Naturally Resin-Dense
Sinking agarwood is not a separate species or origin. It is an exceptionally dense grade formed when a high proportion of the wood has been transformed and enriched with resin. Only a small portion of wild agarwood reaches this level of density.
For this reason, Wild Nha Trang Sinking Chips are selected individually from suitable material rather than produced or supplied continuously. Availability depends entirely on what can be found and carefully selected from each batch.
Natural differences in shape, color, grain, and resin distribution are part of the beauty of genuine wild agarwood.
For Collectors & Special Sessions
Because of its rarity and resin density, Sinking Grade is often appreciated as much for the material itself as for its aroma.
Larger or particularly beautiful pieces may be kept as part of an agarwood collection, while smaller pieces can be carefully shaved or cut for special heating sessions.
For customers primarily seeking wild Nha Trang oud for regular aromatic enjoyment, our Wild Nha Trang Oud Chips offer the same origin and characteristic scent profile in a more accessible grade.
How to Enjoy:
- For the best aromatic experience, use only a small amount on a Subitism or temperature-controlled electric burner.
- Begin with gentle heat and increase the temperature slowly. This allows the creamy sweetness and finer aromatic nuances to emerge before the deeper resinous and woody character develops.
- Because Sinking Grade is highly resinous, only a very small piece is needed for each session.
